Apologetics (əpäləjétiks)

–The word apologetics comes from the Greek “apologia”
  1. to speak on behalf of oneself or others in the face of accusations that are presumed to be false
  2. to defend oneself or others
–Apologetics means to give an answer or make a defense
    It does not mean to make an apology

Do you care about apologetics? All Christians should since we are commanded to always be prepared to “make a defense (apologia) to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.” (1 Peter 3:14-16)

The fact of the matter is that all of us are apologists, but some of us are doing a better job at apologetics than others.

Where shall we learn how to give a better defense of the faith that we possess? Some people have devoted their lives to the study and teaching of apologetics. Here are links to some great resources to help you equip yourself to defend the faith:
